HEART OF THE LION – SIX PACK BOOK 1 – THANIKA HEARTH

I was asked to review this by the author and I was really blown away by the totally unique world she’d built. Whole new concept on shifter paranormal romance. Here’s my review.

What a fabulous start to a series. As a Brit, I love how it’s set in London as so few books are set in England. It’s also has a unique premise. 

These aren’t strictly good guys. There’s a cat burglar, thief, an ex marine also a genius hacker. A crazy mix of people who all come together for one thing, to make London better and help people. Sort of like superheroes. 

Things though aren’t going to plan and they run into trouble from both sides of the law. They’re working as bodyguards to make ends meet and make a name for themselves. One thing they struggle with is a name for their ‘pack’. Their first bit of trouble comes in the form of a cat burglar/thief for hire who turns out to be Liza who instantly gets the attention of Cole their leader and sparks fly. 

A well thought out plot, world and story arc. Characters are believable and endearing. Grabs you in and makes you want more!

I’m not one to do great lengthy reviews, I don’t believe in regurgitating the synopsis or the book so if that’s the type of review you like you won’t find them here. 

Saved by a Dragon – Exiled Dragons – Book 1 – Sarah J Stone
“I just saw a dragon flying near the freeway.” Amy, a radio personality, is rather surprised to get that call. Having an investigative journalism background she just can’t let it go and has to check things out for herself. Things don’t exactly go smoothly but she certainly gets her answer. This follows the, at times, turbulent story of Amy and her dragon. It’s a great read. It’s well paced with a fab writing voice. Great to curl up to and read. If you like a little dragon with your romance then it’s for you. 

This is the first time I think I’ve said this but I really wish I’d read the prequel prior to book 1. I really felt like I was missing part of the story without it. Still it’s worth a read. 

Saved by a Dragon is 99p over on Amazon at the moment. 

If you like PNR this is a must!

If you like your PNR intense, action filled with lots of hot men then this is definitely for you! This is my review I posted as an ARC reader for Anya Nowlan…

Wow! What an intense ride! It starts with an explosion and the action just keeps on coming! If you loved Anya’s ‘Shifter Squad Six’ books then you will absolutely adore this. It’s set in the same shifter world as Squad 6 but this squad is more messed up aka the ‘Suicide Squad’. Even their leader calls the, psychotic! It is none stop! A tale of separated mates and the tragedy that ensues and their way back to each other. Way better than an action movie!

I grieved when shifter squad six finished but little did I know this world would continue with another squad. I was so happy when my ARC arrived. If you’ve not read shifter squad six. Then I suggest you binge read those first. You need to and I hope you thank me for it. You’ll also learn to loath Spade.

This might end up as a running list that gets updated. It’s sort of a, my secret freebie finder list. Some aren’t all free but discounted too. I hope you won’t just grab the freebie and run but stay with the author and support them by reading their other books. When I find an author I like I binge read everything in their catalogue, starting with the series after the freebie, then everything else. It’s not fair to just grab their freebie and run. Always, always support the independent artists of all genres!

This site is a mix of freebies and discounts. It really really wants to get you to subscribe but if you’re persistent you can skip that and get to the books. Their emails are good though and give you the cover, synopsis and different country links to Amazon so no bouncing round websites to get to the book you want. You get a mix of genres in the email, so again you have to be persistent to find a book you like. It would be great if you could sign up just for specific genres though.

This is a sign-up only website but the good thing is you get tailored email right to your inbox. 

Bookbub
You can get freebies and deals by signing up for their newsletter or just browsing their site. This one you can tailor to your favourite genres and get them emailed to you. You can also follow authors here and get updates on their deals.
